My Blog

Welcome! I love helping children & families.

Greetings, and thank you so much for checking out my website and blog!

I am so grateful every day that I am able to help children and families who need help.  It is a deeply rewarding experience, and something that has been my mission in life since I was, myself, a child.

Whether it's garden-variety disobedience, or serious defiance, or developmental disabilities, or the damaging impact of trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, autism, (etc.),  the emotional and behavioral challenges that are out there are nothing to sneeze at.  Every family has its own challenges when it comes to parenting & communication.

It is my privilege to be able to help your child grow and develop into the most successful individual that he or she can be. A key to that success is for children to develop a positive self-image and the belief that they are loved and respected.  On the flip side, it is also important for parents to feel love and respected by their children, as well.  This can be challenging during the teen years, and when children of any age have problems with obedience and defiance.

I'm here to help! And I want you to know, even though I'm a so-called "expert," I'm also a parent (of 3 -- a tween girl, a school-age boy, and a toddler), and so I can relate to the frustrations and pleasures that parenting brings on a very personal level!

Looking forward to hearing from you.  Feel free to ask questions or post comments.
